Julia Cartwright, a designer, economist, and educator, serves as Chief Creative Officer at HotelShift, bringing expertise in data-driven strategies and innovative design. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University, specializing in applied microeconomics, political economy, and development economics. Julia has held prominent academic positions, including Stephen B. Monroe Associate Professor of Economics at Kalamazoo College and Associate Professor of Economics at Pepperdine University. Her teaching portfolio spans diverse subjects such as Economic Development, Game Theory, and Public Choice Economics.
Beyond academia, Julia has led impactful projects in Uganda and Rwanda as Lead Economist for the Sudreau Global Justice Institute, implementing judicial reforms and leveraging data analytics to improve efficiency. She has also contributed to workforce housing design, combining economic insights with creative solutions. In her role at HotelShift, Julia applies her global experience and analytical expertise to develop innovative strategies that drive success and shape the future of the hospitality industry.
